I've been working here for 9 months and it's a great first job and good way to make money for when you're only 14. Also a great environment! Just don't show up after 8:55.
The biggest complaint I have is that they don't seem to train their staff. At the Deli trying to get shaved ham the way we like it is like pulling teeth they don't seem to understand how to use the meat slicer to it's full capacity. When bagging groceries no one tells them to pack raw meat separately. Prices are also quite high on some items and produce is not always the freshest. When I go to Sobeys in Lacombe the staff know what they are doing and the difference between them & Ponoka is glaringly obvious.

A little pricey for groceries. Not aloud to take buggies outside. Cashiers too busy talking to each other and not customers. Service lacks.
The kids love IGA and the free cookies. Good produce. Love the diverse goods. Such as tripes and frog meat.
